Tarn Taran: Four armed men looted Rs25,000 at gunpoint from a patrol pump near Thakarpura village, 30 km from here, on Saturday. Mandip Singh, an employee at the petrol pump, told the police that four persons came to the petrol pump and looted Rs25,000 at gunpoint. He said they also took away the cellphone of an employee. He said the suspects threatened them to kill if they resisted. A case under Section379-B of the IPC has been registered in this regard.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
