He distributed about 30 quintals of dry ration in three flood-affected villages — Nangal Sohal, Gaggar and Panjgrain Wahla — of the Ajnala constituency, with the support of the administration, today. Additional Deputy Commissioner Amandeep Kaur and SDM Ajnala Ravinder Singh Arora were also present along with Dr Oberoi.
Talking about this, Additional Deputy Commissioner Amandeep Kaur and SDM Ajnala Ravinder Singh Arora said many villages in the Ajnala area have been affected by the floods. However, during this time of difficulty, many social workers, religious and social organisations are providing great support to the administration, they said.
On this occasion, Baba Jagjit Singh Baru Sahib Wale also distributed mattresses and other necessary items to the flood victims.
Besides dry ration, the trust is also distributing animal fodder, medicines, fogging machines, mosquito nets and tarpaulins in the affected areas.
Among others, Ajnala Tehsildar Amitabh Tiwari; Tehsildar Ashishpal Singla; state president of the trust, Sukhjinder Singh Heir; District General Secretary Manpreet Singh Sandhu; and Treasurer Navjit Ghai, were also present.
