Noted philanthropist and the managing trustee of Sarbat Da Bhala Charitable Trust, Dr SPS Oberoi, distributed relief material to the flood-affected people in Dhunn Dhai Wala and Mundapind villages on Thursday. The affected families were given ration kits, mosquito nets and plastic covers for cattle. He also prayed for the safety of the affected families and assured all help to the needy persons.

Officer-bearers of the district branch of the Trust, president Dilbag Singh Yodha, Kulrajbir Singh Kang and Kulwinder Singh Pinka were among those who accompanied Dr Oberoi and his brother Gurjit Singh.

Dr Oberoi also paid tributes at the memorial of martyr Lal Singh of Saragarhi in Dhunn Dhai Wala village.
