Voice of Amritsar, a city-based social service organisation, distributed school bags, stationery, a water filter and food items to underprivileged students of government middle and elementary schools in Rampura village, as well as to the players of the Rampura Kabaddi Club.

Upon the arrival of the organisation’s members in Rampura, the Kabaddi Club management, players and villagers warmly welcomed them, felicitating the office-bearers with garlands under the leadership of Ustad Sarabjit Singh Raja.

Supplies were distributed to around 100 students. Speaking to the media, the organisation’s president, Indu Arora, and secretary Raja Iqbal Singh, said the initiative was part of the celebrations for Parkash Purb of Guru Nanak Dev and aimed to provide education-related materials to students.

Executive members Amandeep Singh and Jasjit Singh stated that students were also encouraged to follow the teachings and philosophy of Guru Nanak Dev. They added that the organisation always stands at the forefront in helping those in need.

On behalf of the school management, teacher Ravinder Kaur and on behalf of the Rampura Kabaddi Club, social worker Veer Kaur honoured Indu Arora and the entire executive committee, expressing gratitude for the organisation’s efforts.

During the event, club players Radha and Jasmine presented devotional hymns. Volunteers of the organisation were present, along with Panchayat members Ranjit Singh, Sukhwinder Singh, Davinder Singh, Sonu, Chairman Prince Mehra and other villagers.
