Seminar commemorates Guru Teg Bahadur’s martyrdom anniversary

The event was presided over by the vice-principal, Dr Gurinderjeet Kaur.
Special guests Sukhraj Singh Sandhu, a scholar from Nirmal Prakash Sanstha and Engineer Jatinder Singh Bhail, shared their insights into the life and martyrdom of Guru Teg Bahadur. Both speakers described the Guru’s sacrifice as unparalleled and urged the audience to follow the path of compassion, justice and selflessness shown by Guru Teg Bahadur. They also urged students to read Gurbani and integrate its teachings into their
daily lives.
Prof Subhash Maini from the history department at the college highlighted the historical significance of Guru Teg Bahadur’s sacrifice, explaining the Guru gave his life to protect the oppressed and uphold religious freedom. Students also expressed their thoughts on Guru Teg Bahadur’s legacy during the seminar.
The event was conducted by assistant professor Ramanpreet Kaur, who led the stage proceedings. At the end of the seminar, participating students were honoured for their contributions.
In addition to the faculty members and students who took part in the seminar, Assistant Professors Sonia, Jasjit Singh, Hira Singh, Surinder Kaur, Simranjeet Kaur and Harpreet Singh, along with other staff, were also present on the occasion.
