The NSS wing of the local Sri Guru Arjun Dev (SGAD) Government College, in collaboration with the Traffic Police, conducted a seminar on traffic awareness in the college on Friday. ASI Bikramjit Singh and others traffic police officials attended the seminar as guest speakers. Vice-principal Dr Gurinderjit Kaur presided over the seminar.

During the seminar, speakers talked of traffic rules and encouraged the students to follow these regulations responsibly.

Vice-principal Dr Gurinderjit Kaur thanked the traffic police personnel for providing valuable information to the students. The stage proceedings were conducted by Assistant Professor Karnjeet Kaur. Assistant Professor Jasjit Singh from the Computer Department stated that most accidents occur due to over-speeding and overtaking, and the youth are the main victims. Therefore, students should always drive their vehicles carefully and responsibly.

The college also screened a documentary film on traffic rules. The students shared their views on traffic safety, and a poster-making competition was organised as part of the event.

The winners of the poster competition were honoured by the college administration and the Traffic Police, Tarn Taran.

Faculty members Prof Subhash Maini, Prof Prabhjot Kaur, Prof Sangeeta Agnihotri, Prof Surinder Kaur, Prof Randeep Kaur, Prof Arshdeep Kaur Gill, Prof Harpreet Singh, Prof Ajooni, and other staff members were also present besides the students.
