Sarbat Da Bhala Charitable Trust run by Dubai-based businessman and philanthropist Dr SP Singh Oberoi opened a new sample collection centre of Sunny Oberoi Diagnostic Labs at Gurdwara Shri Guru Hari Rai Sahib on Majitha Road here today. MLA Amritsar South and Chief Khalsa Diwan president Dr Inderbir Singh Nijjar and Dr Oberoi jointly inaugurated the centre.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Nijjar appreciated the exemplary community services being done by Sarbat Da Bhala trust in Punjab and other states. He said that the common people are getting good facilities at low-cost laboratories being established by the trust. Dr SP Singh Oberoi said the trust is already running two clinical laboratories, a dialysis centre, a dental clinic and a physiotherapy centre in the city.

He said that the sample collection centre on Majitha road has been started for the convenience of the public, so that they do not have to travel long distances. The patients will be able to give samples for their tests from 8 am to 11 am, he added.
