A jatha of Sikligar and Vanjara Sikhs from Madhya Pradesh led by Dalip Singh paid obeisance at Sri Harmandar Sahib here on Wednesday. On a pilgrimage to historic gurdwaras across the country, they visited Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib, Sri Anandpur Sahib, Sri Fatehgarh Sahib and different historical gurdwaras before coming to the holy city.

On their arrival at the Golden Temple, they were welcomed by SGPC officials, led by its president Harjinder Singh Dhami. He said the SGPC took several initiatives for the welfare of Sikligar and Vanjara Sikhs under which the education fees of their children, pilgrimage to historic Sikh shrines were arranged to acquaint them with the Sikh history.
