The CIA staff of the local police, led by Inspector Prabhjit Singh, arrested six persons from Patti town, 25 km from here on Friday night, and seized six pistols with 38 cartridges from them. The police also impounded their four vehicles. The arrested suspects were identified as Arashdeep Singh of Kulla, Gursewak Singh of Pringri, Rajkanwar Singh of Nathuchak, Gurjant Singh of Kohali, Gurpreet Singh of Thakarpura and Jagdeep Singh of Patti, while five of their accomplices, who fled the spot, were identified as Diljan Singh, Arashdip Singh, Nishan Singh, Banti and Gurvel Singh.

The Patti police have registered a case under Sections 2, 5, 27, 54 and 59 of the Arms Act, 51-B of the Disaster Management Act.
