Story-telling contest to promote creativity

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has asked schools to motivate students to take part in storytelling competitions to be held from November 18 to November 23 . The aim of the activity is to promote creativity, thinking abilities and enhancing communication skills in students.

The Central Board of Secondary Education said the students will be divided into four categories such as primary, middle, secondary and senior secondary. Schools will have to make sure that not more than four entries are sent for the competition. The best entries will be provided with online participation certificate.

Students of primary wing will be given 2 minutes, for middle classes the time will be 2 to 3 minutes, for secondary 3 to 4 minutes and students of senior secondary will be given 3 to 4 minutes.

The topics given to students will be based on their academic syllabus. There is a participation fee of Rs1,000 per school.
