Students perform street play on drug awareness at Tarn Taran court complex

Under the guidance of Kanwaljit Singh Bajwa, Principal District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Tarn Taran, students of the Wisdom School of Academics and Sports, Tarn Taran, presented a street play on the theme “Say No to Drugs” at the Judicial Court Complex, Tarn Taran.

The main objective of the street play was to spread awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse among the public and the legal fraternity, while highlighting the importance of collective efforts to eradicate this social evil. The performance by the students was highly appreciated by the judicial officers present.

The initiative, jointly undertaken by the District Legal Services Authority, Tarn Taran and the Wisdom School of Academics and Sports, represents a significant step towards creating a drug-free society and inspiring the youth to lead healthy and responsible lives.

At the end of the event, Kanwaljit Singh Bajwa, Principal District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, DLSA Tarn Taran, honoured Navdeep Singh, Director of the school, presented certificates to the participating students and he urged them to stay away from drugs and to contribute positively to society.

The event was attended by judicial officers including Prem Kumar, Additional District and Sessions Judge; Manoj Kumar, Additional District and Sessions Judge; Pooja Andotra, Additional District and Sessions Judge; Ravinderjit Singh Bajwa, Additional District and Sessions Judge; Amandeep Kaur Chahal, Additional District and Sessions Judge; Amandeep Singh, Civil Judge (Senior Division); Indu Bala, Chief Judicial Magistrate; Shilpa, Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-Secretary, District Legal Services Authority; Pankaj Verma, Civil Judge (Senior Division); Ramesh Kumar, Civil Judge (Junior Division); Manjot Kaur, Civil Judge (Junior Division); Jagjit Singh, Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Patti; and Monika Chauhan, Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Khadoor Sahib.

Also present were Parminder Singh Dhillon, President of the Bar Association, Tarn Taran; Navdeep Singh, Director of the Wisdom School of Academics and Sports; along with advocates and court staff.
