The Guardians of Governance (GoG) organised a motorcycle rally to raise awareness against drugs here on Tuesday, in which GoG from across the district participated.

The rally was flagged off by Deputy Commissioner Moneesh Kumar. Col AS Gill, district head, GoG, Dr Amandeep Singh, Deputy Economics and Statistical Advisor (ESA), and others were present on the occasion.

The rally passed through bazaars of Tarn Taran city and different villages en route including Palasaur, Ghurkwind, Dialpur, Bhikhiwind, Sursingh, Sohal, Thatha, Bir Baba Buddha Sahib, Noordi and returned back to Tarn Taran after covering around 80 km. Members of the rally held placards with messages — ‘Say No to Drugs’, ‘Grow trees and Save Water’. They even halted at different places to speak to locals and requested them to join in and help the administration in nabbing drug peddlers so that they can be put behind bars. Deputy Commissioner appreciated the move of the GoG.
