The district health department will organise a three-day pulse polio immunisation drive from March 3 to administer polio drops to children under the age

of five years.

A health official said the drive would cover nearly 2.95 lakh children in the district. The department would set up polio booths at public places on the first day of the drive, while health teams would run a door-to-door campaign on the remaining two days.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
