The city police led by ASI Baldev Singh conducted a raid on Wednesday night at the bridge in Doburji village and arrested three robbers while one of their accomplices managed to escape from the spot.

ASI Baldev Singh said that those arrested have been identified as Anmolpreet Singh, Gurmeet Singh (both residents of Guruwali village in Amritsar) and Jaskaranpal Singh, a resident of Mugal Chack Pannuan. Their accomplice who absconded from the spot has been identified as Vicki of Char Khambha Chaunk, Tarn Taran. The police have recovered a stolen bike from the arrested robbers.

The ASI said that the robbers were planning to rob someone when the police raided the spot following a tip-off and arrested the three robbers. A case under Section 303 (2) and 3 (5) of the BNS has been registered in this regard, said the ASI.
