Following the state government’s instructions to financially help youth services clubs, the district administration has directed the clubs of the district to submit the detailed report of works carried out during the past two years to the Assistant Director, Youth Services Department, by November 15.

Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sawhney said the government will provide assistance to the youth clubs affiliated with the Youth Services Department for overall promotion of rural youth.

She said the active youth clubs related to the department in the district willing to get help should submit their progress report of two years to the office of Assistant Director Youth Services Department Amritsar (Room number 218 of District Administrative Complex) by November 15.

She said the district-level committee, constituted by the department, would evaluate the work of these clubs and take further action.

The Deputy Commissioner said social activities being conducted by the youth clubs at the village and ward level, which include cleanliness campaigns, blood donation camps, various awareness drives and promotion of government works, sports activities and their participation in different types of camps, will bne reviewed.

She called upon the youth clubs affiliated to the Youth Services Department to submit their detailed reports of the last two years so that the assistance received from the government can be provided to them as soon as possible. Each Club will get financial assistance, with 32 percent will be reserved for the SC and ST.
