Three teenage girls were badly injured in a road accident on Tarn Taran-Goindwal Sahib road on Saturday night when their moped was hit by another vehicle near Naurangabad. The injured have been identified as Sharanjit Kaur (19), Arashdeep Kaur (16) and Khushi (15). They were admitted to a hospital.

Daughters of Kashmir Singh, a resident of Palasaur village, the three sisters were coming from the Goindwal Sahib side on a moped when a speeding tractor-trailer hit them near Naurangabad village. They were rushed to the local Civil Hospital where after being administered first aid, they were referred to Guru Nanak Dev Hospital, Amritsar. The local Sadar police have initiated further proceedings in the case. The three suffered fractures in their legs in the accident, it was learnt.
