Following an investigation into the seizure of drugs on March 10, the police have arrested a trafficker Pawandeep Singh of Bhitewad village after recovering Rs 3 lakh drug money from him. Pawandeep is currently in police remand. Earlier, the police had recovered 1.062 kg of heroin from Surjit Singh of Bal Sachander village and Kulbir Singh of Rajasansi.

Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Jaspal Singh said on March 10, the Division D police arrested Surjit with 1 kg of contraband in the Lakkar Mandi area. During interrogation, Surjit revealed that he was to hand over heroin to Kuldeep after procuring it from Pawandeep. The ACP said Kuldeep was arrested on March 18 with 50 gm of heroin.
