The Patti police have recovered two heavy bomb shells from the house of Ghatti Bazaar, a residential locality in Patti town, on Tuesday.

SHO Parwinder Singh, Patti city police, said the recovered bomb shells were rusted and Army experts had been called to examine their explosive capacity.

The SHO said Roshan Lal Khandwala, the owner of the house, had migrated from Patti town to Rishikesh about 40 years ago and it was purchased by three residents of Patti a few years ago. The persons who purchased the house, led by Sukhdev Raj Chopra, had initiated a cleanliness drive during the festive season when the bombs were recovered.

The SHO said next proceedings would be carried out after getting a report from the Army experts, who were expected to reach the local police station on Wednesday.
