The local Universal Academy organised a two-day Teej festival which concluded on Saturday with girl students and their mothers being honoured. Vibrant events showcasing Punjabi culture were presented including skits, dances and folk songs. Giddha was the standout attraction presented by the students. At the end, mothers participated in competitions like quiz, modelling, nail art and mehndi, and also joined in the Giddha celebrations.

Principal Jasbeer Kaur Sidhu praised the mothers’ love and dedication, showering them with gifts, including traditional attire and jewellery. A student from each grade was crowned Ms Teej, and mothers were felicitated with titles symbolising love, care and devotion.

The principal encouraged everyone to

self-introspect and give time to oneself to nurture their own well-being amidst the joy of celebrating others. Swati Sood, Management Trustee, was among those who addressed the gathering.
