Riding a bike, both were intercepted by a police patrolling party. They could not give a satisfactory answer to the police queries regarding the weapon. A case under the Arms Act was registered against them and further probe was on to ascertain the source of the weapon.

The police said they were produced in a court and brought on police remand for further interrogation.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
