Two killed, four injured in road accident

Two persons were killed and four seriously injured when a Srinagar-bound car overturned near Madhopur, near here, on Friday.

Passersby took the injured to the Civil Hospital, Pathankot. Two persons were declared ‘brought dead’ while the injured were taken to the emergency ward.

The car was going to Srinagar from New Delhi. The deceased have been identified as Sushil Kumar and Naresh Kumar. The injured are Satish Kumar, Kewal Krishan, Arun and Vikas.

Satish Kumar, who was driving the vehicle, said he tried to negotiate a bend when he lost control. He said he regained consciousness only at the hospital where doctors told him that he had met with an accident.

The relatives of the dead person and the injured have been informed in Delhi.
