CIA staff on Friday arrested two persons with illegal weapons, which were smuggled from Pakistan through drones.

SSP Ashwani Kapur informed newsmen here on Saturday that the accused have been identified as Baljinder Singh Billla and Yadwinder Singh Yadu, residents of Naushehra Dhala. The SSP informed that the accused had procured the weapons from across the border smugglers with the help of drones.

The SSP said the weapons recovered from the suspects were of rare quality (three glock pistols) and nine cartridges. The suspects were on a motorcycle when they were arrested near their village.

A case under Sections 25 (6), (7), (8), 54 and 59 of the Arms Act and Sections 10, 11 and 12 of the Aircraft Act was registered against them by the Sarai Amant Khan police. The pistol glock is of some rare quality in the international market which is a sophisticated weapon.
