The police nabbed two persons who were allegedly involved in drug peddling here on Thursday. They were identified as Surinder Kumar of Guru Piari Bagichi near the Durgiana Temple and Harish Kumar of Bhutanpura area in Chawinda Devi village here.

The police confiscated 262 gram of heroin from their possession. According to the police, they were produced in a court and brought on police remand for further investigation. The police were trying to ascertain the source of the contraband recovered from them.

The police said the accused were travelling on a scooter when they were intercepted and nabbed by a police team at a checkpoint. The police were also trying to establish the forward and backward links of the accused.
