The Border Security Force (BSF) and the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF), Amritsar, nabbed two smugglers and recovered 1.1 kg of narcotics from their possession.

The BSF Intelligence Wing developed and shared information regarding a possible smuggling attempt involving few suspects on the Amritsar border.

During night hours, at 10:10 pm on Tuesday, the joint team established a checkpoint near Chota Fatehwal village in Amritsar district.

As a result of the operation, two Indian smugglers were apprehended and two packets of suspected heroin (gross weight: 1.1 kg) and a motorcycle were seized from their possession.

Both apprehended individuals are residents of Sarang Dev village, said the Ajnala police.

They are currently in the custody of ANTF, Amritsar, for further investigation.
