Punjab has given a number of popular faces to Bollywood and Hollywood. One such acting talent is Inderjit Kumar. Born in Beas, Inderjit studied in Chandigarh and migrated to the US to pursue his acting dreams. He has been part of several Hollywood films. Recently, he was seen in Priyanka Chopra-Dwayne Johnson starrer Baywatch. Inderjit recently visited his home in Beas.

Interacting with mediapersons, Inderjit shared that he planned to open an acting and stunt academy in the state to train the budding talent. “The Punjabi film industry has grown leap and bounds in the past few years. But, we still lag behind in terms of producing good action films. I want to upgrade the standards of action films being produced here. Most likely, I will open an academy in Amritsar or Jalandhar,” he added.

“The fact that Hollywood as an industry is extremely professional, which is one of the reasons for its global success. Punjabi films are reaching out to the global audience, but we still need to organise a few things. I feel that the Punjabi entertainment industry has potential to compete with the global cinema,” he said.
