The accused has been identified as Daljit Kaur, also known as Vicky, a resident of Guru Nanakpura, Kot Khalsa. The police said the incident took place when Daljit Kaur got into an argument with senior constable Gurpreet Kaur, who was on duty at the complex.
According to the complaint, the woman allegedly grabbed the constable by the neck, pulled at her uniform, broke her nameplate, and even kicked her. Following this, a case under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) was registered against the accused at the Civil Lines police station.
Daljit Kaur has been arrested and the matter is being investigated by ASI Hardial Singh of the Court Complex police post. The police said any attempt to obstruct or attack personnel on duty would be dealt with strictly.
