Tarn Taran: Two unidentified bike-borne men looted Rs6 lakh from a woman here on Monday. The victim, Nirmal Kaur of Kajikot Road area, told the police that she had a property dispute with her in-laws and on Monday, she went to the Sadar police station to settle the dispute. The victim, who is a widow, said her in-laws gave her Rs6 lakh as compensation. According to her, when she reached a local drain bridge while on her way home, two unidentified persons came on a bike and looted the money from her. oc

Tarn Taran: Five bike-borne men looted Rs52,600 from Chamkaur Singh of Khadoor Sahib. The incident took place when he was going to Fatehbad village, 20 km from here. On his way, the robbers stopped him and looted the money. The Goindwal Sahib police have initiated a probe into the incident. oc

Minor boy kidnapped

Amritsar: A two-and-a-half-year-old boy, Krishna, was kidnapped from his residence in Pandori Waraich village falling under the Kamboh police station here. Lal Singh, father of the boy, said around 1.30 am when they were asleep, his wife raised an alarm over the missing of Krishna. The police have registered a case of kidnapping against unknown persons.
