Youth arrested for threatening Amritsar-based influencer Deepika Luthra

The Amritsar police have arrested one person in connection to the threats issued to Amritsar-based social media influencer Deepika Luthra.

The arrested accused has been identified as Ramandeep Singh, a resident of Patiala. Though a police official has confirmed his arrest, the senior officials are tight-lipped over the arrest and are likely to hold a press conference tomorrow.

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Jasroop Kaur Bath said any information or development in the case would be shared tomorrow. But sources said that the accused was arrested, following the technical investigations and intelligence inputs.

The police have booked Amritpal Singh Mehron, the key conspirator in the brutal murder of Ludhiana-based influencer Kanchan Tiwari alias Kamal Kaur Bhabhi in Bathinda, for threatening and other influencers of dire consequences.

Mehron escaped to Dubai immediately after killing Kaur. The Bathinda police had arrested his two associates, who had also issued threats to some foreign-based influencers for posting vulgar content.
