The ‘A’ Zone Zonal Youth Festival, organised by the Youth Welfare Department of Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU), concluded successfully on October 31. The three-day event, held from October 29 to 31, celebrated the artistic and cultural talents of students from various colleges.

At the valedictory ceremony, Professor Harvinder Singh Saini, Dean of Students’ Welfare at GNDU, was the chief guest. He distributed trophies to the winning college teams along with Prof Amandeep Singh, In-charge of the Youth Welfare Department.

In the A-Division, Khalsa College, Amritsar, bagged the overall championship title, while Guru Nanak Dev University, Main Campus, and BBK DAV College for Women secured the first and second runner-up positions, respectively.

In the B-Division, Shehzada Nand College, Green Avenue, won the overall trophy, followed by Trai Shatabdi Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College as the first runner-up and Shaheed Darshan Singh Pheruman Memorial College for Women as the second runner-up.

The festival featured a wide range of competitions, including folk songs, dance, drama and literary events. Reputed colleges from across Amritsar participated in the celebration.
