Youth killed in mishap on elevated road

A motorcycle-borne youth, identified as Gurwinder Singh, of Kot Khalsa was killed after an unidentified vehicle hit his motorcycle on the elevated road here on Sunday. His brother was seriously injured in the road accident.
Baljinder Singh, SHO, Rambagh police station, said the police were analysing the footage of CCTV cameras to identify the vehicle which hit the victim’s bike. He said the injured was rushed to hospital where is under treatment. The doctors have declared him unfit for giving any statement.

The SHO said people alerted the police about the accident and that the victim was lying on the road. Apparently the vehicle which hit him sped away. A case would be registered in this connection, he said.
