Engineers’ Day celebrated
On the special day to commemorate the Engineers’ Day, CT Group of Institutions organised multiple events at its both Shahpur and Maqsudan campuses. A seminar was organised asking the students to get inspired by the accomplishments of genius like Mokshagundam Vishweshwarayya on whose birthday the day is celebrated. His services to the engineering field were recalled and students were explained how a source of inspiration he was for engineers across the country. There was a special competitive event which was also organised comprising of Kabaad se Jugaad, poster making and proto-mania events where students outperformed and displayed their technical talents.
Students create chocolate idols
Students of St Soldier Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology made chocolate Laughing Buddha and Shri Ganesha idols. Students Shubhrinder, Reena Singh, Shilpa, Lovepreet, Gursimrpreet, Shivani, Bhavna and Harsimran said they got an idea to create these from their teachers and with their help, they implemented the project. They said they would dissolve these in milk and then distribute them among people.
KMV wins volleyball contest
KMV Collegiate Sr. Sec. School’s volleyball team won the inter-school Jalandhar district championship by first defeating Police DAV School by 25-10, 25-15, 25-12 points and then the Govt Sr Sec School, Noormahal, by 25-10 and 25-15 points. The players of the winning team will participate in the inter-state championship now. — TNS
