Motorcyclist dies in collision between canter and bike

A motorcyclist died, while two others were injured when their motorcycle collided with a canter on the Ludhiana-Chandigarh road near Manderan village last night.
The deceased has been identified as Raj Kumar, a resident of Doaba Bhaini near Koom Kalan, while the injured have been identified as Madan Lal and Raju, both residents of Ward No. 13 Khamano.
As per the information, three motorcycle-borne persons were coming towards Khamano last night. When they reached near Manderan village their motorcycle suddenly collided with a canter coming from the opposite side.
The accident was so fierce that Raj Kumar died on the spot, while the injured were rushed to the Civil Hospital, Khamano, from where they were referred to Government Hospital, Sector 32, where they were under treatment in a serious condition.
As per ASI Baljit Singh Grewal, Investigation Officer, they had registered a against canter driver, who managed to escape from the site after the accident.
