After that students will be called for counselling during which they would have to present their original certificates to the admission committee of the department. The department, on the basis of the counselling, will prepare a merit list, which will be downloaded on the website for the information of students so that those  selected can deposit their fee in the bank.

A common pro forma for all language and arts courses was also tabled. As per the admission scheduled of the university, students will have to submit their forms by June 30, 2016.

During the meeting, the chairpersons raised the issue that many a times results were delayed due to which the students had to submit their forms physically in the department with late fee. The coordinator informed them that the university would extend the admission dates in case there was a delay in the declaration of results.

Two PU faculty members-Meena Sethi and Prof Pampa Mukerjee- have been appointed to guide the staff in case they face any difficulty in implementing the online admission system. The university will also set up help desks for the the assistance of students.
