MOHALI: Students of the Quest Group of Institutions have developed a pedalpowered washing machine

Students of the Quest Group of Institutions have developed a pedal-powered washing machine.

The machine, developed by Kamaljit Singh, Amandeep Singh and Tajbir Singh Chahal, has a capacity of 6 kg. It will save time and help save power.

Pedalling causes the drum of the washing machine rotate and at the same time electricity is generated and clothes are washed.

It will be helpful in rural areas. Besides, it will be a good tool for exercise as it works by pedalling.
