The police today arrested three persons and seized Rs 7.50 lakh looted by them at gunpoint from a person and a .315 bore weapon. The accused have been identified as Satnam Singh of Lal Singh Basti, Gurdas Singh of Behman Jassa village and Harpreet Singh of Amarpura Basti in Bathinda.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
