The Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF), Punjab, in a joint operation with the Muktsar police, on Sunday claimed to have arrested three persons wanted in multiple criminal cases and seized 174 gm of heroin, two .32 bore pistols and 10 live cartridges from them.

Those arrested were identified as Gaurav Kumar, alias Billa, of Abul Khurana village, Vikasdeep Singh and Lovepreet Singh of Muktsar town.

A senior police officer said the preliminary investigations suggested that the trio was conspiring to eliminate a rival. The trio was arrested yesterday and a fresh case was registered against them at the Malout City police station, he said.

According to the officer, Gaurav was a fugitive in a case registered at the Malout City police station, while the other two were wanted in a case lodged at Muktsar City police station.
