Shingara Singh Mann, district chief, BKU (Ekta Urghan), said, “This procurement season, farmers had to face a lot of difficulty, as earlier they had to deal with tardy lifting due to shortage of labour and now, inclement weather is adding to their woes.”

The state government should give some relaxation in moisture content, Mann said.

Besides this, many low-lying areas in the city have been waterlogged. — TNS
