Bathinda: Finance Minister Manpreet Badal has donated Rs2 lakh from his personal account to the Bathinda Covid Relief Fund set up at the district level to fight coronavirus. Speaking on the occasion, he said it was a catastrophic disaster and they should all come together to deal with situation. Besides, Rajan Garg from the Sanatan Dharam Mahavir Dal gave the Deputy Commissioner a cheque for Rs1.11 lakh. Similarly, Baljinder Singh, a contractor, also gave a cheque for the same amount. Pawan Mani contributed Rs51,000 to the Covid fund. Deputy Commissioner B Srinivasan appealed to residents to contribute a bit to fight the disease. He said people could donate to Bathinda Covid Relief Fund through account number 50100342803123 of HDFC Bank. The IFSC code of the branch is HDFC0000187. TNS
