“The court had exempted Amandeep from personal appearance on health grounds. Now, the case is fixed for consideration of the charge on December 2,” said Advocate Vishavdeep Singh, counsel for the accused.

Earlier, the court had given the Vigilance Bureau a last chance to produce the supplementary challan before the hearing on November 20. “The final challan has been submitted by the probe agency,” Advocate Vishavdeep said.

Amandeep was arrested on April 2 from Badal Road on the outskirts of Bathinda town after 17.71 grams of heroin were recovered from her SUV.

Later, she was charged with allegedly amassing assets disproportionate to her known sources of income, and was arrested in this case on May 26.
