Two accused gangsters — Saraj Mintu, alias Saraj Sandhu, and Bobby Malhotra, alias Sagar — who delivered the car to the shooters in the Sidhu Moosewala murder case, were yesterday attacked inside the Bathinda Central Jail.

The attack has been carried out by jailed gangsters Joginder Singh and Palwinder Singh. Reportedly, the two gangsters had a fight with Saraj and Bobby over some issue 10 days ago. On Saturday, all four came face to face following which, Joginder and Palwinder beat up Saraj and Bobby.

On getting information, the jail authorities intervened and locked the four gangsters in different barracks and the matter was reported to the Cantonment police station.

On the complaint of the Assistant Jail Superintendent of the Bathinda Central Jail, Surinderpal Singh, the police registered a case against Joginder and Palwinder and started an investigation.

Along with this, the police have started the preparation to bring the said gangsters on a production warrant for further interrogation.
