Max Super Speciality Hospital, Bathinda, on Tuesday conducted a cardiology workshop on left main diseases and chronic total occlusions. In 10 cases, antegrade re-entry and rotablator technique was used. These stents were optimised with optical coherence tomography(OCT).

Recent studies have indicated that these techniques if used decrease the long term mortality and increase quality of life post-stenting.

This workshop was first of its kind in Punjab with the use of OCT as an imaging modality. Cardiologist from all over India and abroad were present to grace the workshop.
