The pilferage of gas from tankers of the Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) is going on unabated in the district. The police have filed a case against the owner of a transport firm and some IOCL employees for pilfering gas and selling it at high prices illegally on the Jassi Paowali-Phus Mandi road.

In the FIR, the police said after tankers laden with liquefied petroleum gas left the IOCL depot, the gas was pilfered on the way. — TNS
