Meteorology Department officials said on a cloudy day the temperature often remained on the higher side as compared to sunny days as the evaporation process took more time on cloudy days. However, windy conditions, coupled with rain, added to chill in the air on Monday.

The officials said the city was likely to witness cloudy days in the next two days, following which the weather was expected to clear. It is worth mentioning that the Met Department had predicted rain for today and throughout the day, the weather remained cloudy and it rained off all day.
