The academics exhorted students to think out of the box and inspired them to take science as their career. A platform was provided to students to interact with eminent scientists in various fields of sciences and get a deep insight into various career options available to them, especially in science. The sessions helped students to develop scientific aptitude.

Students got hands-on experience through practical sessions in various labs of physics, chemistry, agriculture and biotechnology. In biotechnology lab, students learnt the technique of isolating bacteria and staining these, testing their blood groups and haemoglobin. In chemistry lab, they practised the concept of chemical plating. In the evening, students enjoyed various science fun games, including ‘winnovation’ (a robotics workshop).

Bhavnoor Kaur Pannu of GTB Khalsa Public Senior Secondary School, Sri Muktsar Sahib, Kirandeep Kaur and Manveen Kaur, both of Meritorious School, Ferozepur, were awarded first, second and third prize, respectively, for ‘best innovative idea’.
