Irked over the non-construction of a street near the Government Primary School at Doda village in Gidderbaha Assembly segment here, some residents have put up a hoarding announcing a “boycott of votes” ahead of the zila parishad and panchayat samiti elections.

The hoarding appeals to leaders of AAP, Congress and the SAD not to visit the locality seeking votes until their long-pending demand for the street’s construction is fulfilled.

Residents Baldev Singh and Jagsir Singh said despite repeatedly raising the issue, no party paid attention to their genuine demand, prompting them to put up the hoarding as a mark of protest.
