Gems Public School here organised a ‘Welcome 2020’ carnival and the semi-finals of the Miss Little Punjaban contest. A large number of participants from around the city and vicinity participated in the event.

Chief guest Rajiv Arora, station in charge of All India Radio, Bathinda, and other dignitaries and renowned personalities from the city visited the carnival.

The carnival showcased art works of school students and wooden toys. Food stalls, face painting contest and dance performance by the students of Jeevan Suraksha Abhiyan and Bal Sanskar Shala, run for children from under privileged section, were among the highlights of the carnival. Principal of the school, Anju Nagpal, thanked everyone for their participation and honoured the sponsors.
