Bathinda: The police have booked two persons, one of them is yet to be identified, for beating up two members of an NGO at Baba Deep Singh Nagar. Complainant Balkar Singh of Baba Deep Singh Nagar, said, “Harmeet Singh and I are members of Navi Soch Club. Mamam Singh and an unidentified person were having an argument with Harmeet. When I tried to stop them, they attacked us with sticks and iron rods. Besides, they opened fire on us.” The police have registered a case against the suspects.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
