Students of Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technology from Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU) here observed National Voters’ Day on Saturday.

In order to encourage young voters to actively participate in political process, the Government of India had decided to observe January 25 as “National Voters’ Day” every year. The faculty members, staff and students took pledge during the event.

Head of the department Rahul Deshmukh addressed the students and sensitised them about importance of a vote in democratic process of our country. He said voting was a basic process that helps to form country’s government and governance.
