Afghanistan would post a dedicated commercial attaché in New Delhi within a month as part of a push to revitalise economic engagement with India, Afghan Commerce and Industry Minister Alhaj Nooruddin Azizi said on Monday, pitching his country as a “paradise for investment” and urging Indian businesses to scale up bilateral trade “much beyond” the current $1 billion.

Azizi, who is on a five-day visit to India, said the decision to appoint commercial attachés in both capitals was finalised during his meeting with Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Jitin Prasada last week.
