Bharti Airtel’s AI-powered system has identified 157 million potential spam calls and three million such text messages in Chandigarh, Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh within 18 days of its launch, the telecom company said.

Developed in-house by Airtel’s data scientists, the AI-powered solution uses a proprietary algorithm to identify and classify calls and SMS as ‘suspected spam’.

By cross-referencing this information against known spam patterns, the system flags suspected spam calls and SMSes accurately.
